Immediately after graduating from high school, John enlisted in the Marine Corps — a dream of his since he was just 10 years old. When he finished serving, he went on to graduate from Indiana University and pursued a career in the medical device field. After 11 years spent in the corporate world, John decided that he wanted to build his own business, and he had a strong love for what real estate provides clients every day. John works within a variety of Chicago neighborhoods, and he typically services first- time buyers and sellers aiming to move out of state or into the suburbs. Within the past year alone, his referrals and repeat clients have doubled. Lyons was also able to increase his listing inventory to more than eight properties — a major jump from the start of the year. For the past three years, Lyons has earned the Outstanding Sales Achievement award from the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), as well as the Baird & Warner Founders’ Club award. Yet his favorite award of them all has been the Baird & Warner Lincoln Park Best Dressed Agent Award, which he earned in 2016.
When he’s not working, John is involved with Home For Our Troops -— an organization that builds and donates custom-designed homes for veterans. He also enjoys skiing, golfing, and getting outdoors any time he can. His biggest personal accomplishment in the past year was being able to take a completely phone-free trip with his family.
